The Ramblers' Association campaigns to open all public rights of way in England and Wales and to ensure that the existing rights of way network is protected. To help keep footpaths open, over 1,000 Ramblers volunteers work throughout the year to clear paths and carry out surveys via a network of seven regions (which embrace also Scotland, Orkney, Shetland, and the Western Isles). There is no single online schedule of trail projects; however, it is easy to identify and contact the many groups by way of www.ramblers.org.uk/info/localgroups/local.html
