The overall aim of the British Upland Footpath Trust is to "improve the quality and standard of footpath work and maintenance in the uplands". The objectives which guide BUFT's current work appear to be primarily promotional rather than hands-on. BUFT does not publish or organize volunteer trail projects; it is identified herein as a possible information resource.
