12 - 20 Nov 2011, Sat - 2nd Sun. Silverwood Lake State Park Hitch 1. Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area, near Hesperia, CA. Volunteers will join a Student Conservation Association trail crew in the Silverwood Lake area to work on berm and slough removal, brushing, drainage armoring, and construction of a few small retaining walls. Car camping will be at a developed campground. Fitness Requirement: Suitable for a wide range of abilities. Volunteers will hike 1-2 miles to the project site each day. This level is great for beginners. Other Things To Do in the Area: There are interesting rock formations at Mormon Rocks and swimming in the lake. Questions? Ready to Register?
