6 - 10 Dec 2010, Mon - Fri. Tylerhorse Canyon. BLM Lands Near Rosamond, CA. Located on BLM lands, near Rosamond, CA. volunteers will join the Student Conservation Association trail crew in conducting heavy duty tread work on the PCT. This is a great opportunity to get in on lots of laughs, hard work, exercise, and have a great time! The crew will be at a front country camp with sites accessible by car. The daily hike to the worksite will be 1-4 mi. No experience necessary. All meals, tools, and training are provided by the PCTA. This project is recommended for volunteers with advanced fitness levels due to significant elevation change and/or strenuous work activities. Advance registration is required.
