29 - 30 Apr 2011, Fri - Sat. Kickoff Trail Projects. Cleveland NF, near Campo, CA. Volunteers will be joining PCTA staff and SCA crew to maintain trail tread, for brushing and erosion control. Five volunteer positions are available. Camping: Developed campground. Camping and meals will be separate from the PCT Kick Off event. If volunteers would like to camp and eat at Kick Off they will need to register through them separately. Hiking distance from camp to project site is 1 mile. Trail Crew Leaders: Student Conservation Association and PCTA staff. Fitness Requirement: Level 1. Suitable for a wide range of abilities. Project may include elevation change of less than 500 ft.
