20 - 23 Sep 2010, Mon - Thu. Bucks Summit. Plumas NF, Near Quincy, CA. Located in the Plumas National Forest, near Quincy, CA, volunteers will have the opportunity to join the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship crew improve drainage structures and perform general trail maintenance and restoration on the PCT. Volunteers can come out for the day or the full trip! The crew will camp at the developed White Horse Campground (accessible by car) and hike in to the worksite 1-8 mi daily. Elevation is approximately 5500 to 6500 ft. No experience necessary; tools, training, and food will be provided. This project is recommended for volunteers with with intermediate fitness levels due to small elevation changes and/or moderately physical work activities. Advance registration is required.
