27 Sep - 3 Oct 2010, Mon - Sun. Siskiyou Crest - Red Mtn. Part 1. Rogue River Siskiyou NF, Near Ashland, OR. Located in the Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest, near Ashland, OR, volunteers will join the Northwest Service Academy AmeriCorps crew to rehab tread west of Mt Ashland on the Siskiyou Crest in the vicinity of Red Mountain. Volunteers will be meeting on the evening of 27 Sep to set up camp. The crew will be camped off of a USFS road (accessible by car) and will hike in up to 3 mi to the worksite each day. No experience necessary. All meals, tools, and training are provided by the PCTA. This project is recommended for intermediate fitness levels due to small elevation changes and/or moderately physical work activities.
