17 - 20 Jan. Base Camp Location - USFS Fire Station Batterson, Oakhurst Ca on Hwy 41 near Yosemite National Park. Field training on the use of Crosscut saw and chainsaw and an opportunity to be a certified sawyer. Re-certification is also offered. Class size limit is 12.
14 - 17 Feb. Base Camp Location - USFS Fire Station Batterson, Oakhurst Ca on Hwy 41 near Yosemite NP. Identification of trail damage, repair of trail slope, construction and repair of water diversion structures, use of natural materials to define the width of the tread. Class limit is 8.
13 - 16 Mar. Base Camp Location - Bass Lake Ranger District Office in North Fork on Road 200 East of Highway 41. Training on the use of tools and techniques to drill, split and shape rocks used in the construction and repair of rock walls, steps and retainers. Class size limit is 12.
