19 - 28 Jun 2009, Fri - Sun. Fuller Ridge. Calif Dept. of Parks and Rec. (10 Volunteers, Work Level Moderate to Difficult, Backpacking.) Come join our crew in the beautiful San Jacinto mountains. Work amongst tall fir trees and big granite boulders to repair and reconstruct the PCT as it drops from the shoulder of Mt. San Jacinto to the desert floor. Volunteers will be working together to repair rock structures, clear the corridor to make it safe and passable for equestrians and packers, and repair any eroded tread on the Fuller Ridge portion of the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. Volunteers will use tools such as a Pionjar and boulder buster. We will be working between 7000 and 9000 feet elev. Feel free to take a day to hike up through the beautiful firs and cedars and granite boulders to the peak Mt. San Jacinto. Horse packers will help to get your gear and tools into the back country.
