26 - 29 Aug 2011, Fri - Mon. Windigo-Skyline: Devil's Lake. Deschutes NF: Bend / Ft Rock RD, near Bend, OR. The Devil's Lake trail, a major feeder to the PCT, needs major help and the Windigo Crew is going to tackle it. Most of the work will be fixing significant trail rutting using check dams and water bars. We will be camping at the trailhead each night. Meals, training, and safety equipment are provided. Ten volunteer positions are available; leaders will be PCTA Staff. Camping is frontcountry car camping. Hiking distance from camp to project site is 0.5 to 2.5 miles. Fitness Requirement: Level 2. Intermediate fitness levels. Project may include moderate hiking of more than 2 miles to the worksite, moderate elevation change over 500 ft and/or moderately physical work activities. This level is suitable for most volunteers who are in good physical condition. Most people who are physically active can perform at this level. Questions? Ready to register?
