30 Sep - 2 Oct 2011, Fri - Sun. Domingo Springs 2. Lassen NF: Almanor RD, near Chester, CA. The PCTA volunteer crew will work on the Almanor RD of Lassen NF in the Domingo Springs area. Work will consist of tread and drainage maintenance and clearing of the trail corridor with potential for structure installation and maintenance. Volunteers may also potentially use tools specific to constructing timber structures. Meals, safety equipment, and training are provided. Eight volunteer positions are available; trail crew leader is Val Sokolowski, PCTA Staff. Car camping is at a developed campground; hiking distance from camp to project site is 1 to 4 miles. Fitness Requirement: Level 2. Intermediate fitness levels. Project may include moderate hiking of more than 2 miles to the worksite, moderate elevation change over 500 ft and/or moderately physical work activities. This level is suitable for most volunteers who are in good physical condition. Most people who are physically active can perform at this level. Questions? Ready to register?
