2950. 10 - 19 Oct 2008, Fri - Sun. Golden Oak Spring. Section "F", BLM Ridgecrest DCA, Maps F3-5. We continue this project to brush and rehab the PCT in the Sky River Ranch Wind Farm. We have about 13 mi of trail to cover. Our camp is behind the locked gates of Sky River Ranch so leaving or arriving mid project will have to be scheduled in advance. Need 12 volunteers, Doris is the cook. No FALC is necessary at this time. We will rendezvous at the intersection of Sand Canyon Rd. and Tanganda Rd. at 10:30 am Fri to convoy to Sky River Ranch. Take the Sand Canyon Rd. exit off Hwy 58 and Sand Cyn. is 1/10 mi W of the exit on the N side of the Highway. It is 5.2 mi N to Tanganda Rd. The drive is over 1 hr on GOOD dirt roads from here, so GAS UP in Tehachapi or Mojave. This is a dry camp so any personal water you can bring would be appreciated.
