26 - 29 Apr 2012, Thu - Sun. Section "G" Chimney Creek Area. Bureau of Land Management. Come join us for this tree clearing project of up to 20 mi of trail covered in the Manter burn and the Chimney Creek watershed area. We may also do some spot tread repair along the way. Our primary tools will be rock bars and crosscut saws, as most of the area is in Wilderness. We may also use a chainsaw in one area. Work days will be Fri and Sat. Our base camp will be at the Chimney Creek Campground. Come up on Thu evening for dinner and pack up after breakfast on Sunday. We will be hiking 5 to 10 mi each day with elevation gains of up to 1400 ft. There are also some road access to the trail at several points.
