Ansel Adams Wilderness Trail Project
18 - 23 September 2005

Part A: In and Around Camp
See also Part B: Pictures from the Crew Members
The trail maintenance project was organized by Campy, project leader for the Pacific Crest Trail Association (PCTA), and it was hosted by the Inyo National Forest. The Central Texas Trail Tamers sent a crew to work with PCTA members and volunteers, one of whom came from as far away as Michigan. The total was 17 volunteers including 3 packers. The objective of the project was to improve the Pacific Crest Trail in the area of one to three miles north of the Agnew Meadows trailhead. We made use of packers from the Antelope Valley unit of the Backcountry Horsemen of California to move equipment and food to our spike camp. The forest service provided supervision and packed in the trail tools.
