Members of the Truckee Meadows Trails Association believe trails are a key component of a successful quality of life. Our goal is to create, restore, and preserve a network of multi-use trails throughout Reno, Sparks, and surrounding Washoe County region. We are committed to fostering the stewardship of our public lands by actively participating in the planning, use, construction, and maintenance of public trails and their environment. We welcome your interest and help. Being an entirely volunteer organization we rely on members to help add trail mileage and guaranty access to open space in the Truckee Meadows. TMTA supplies all tools and supplies for trail construction. On most corporate sponsored trail construction even lunch is included. Projects start between 8 or 9am and usually end between 1 or 2pm. Volunteers are asked to bring proper weather-dependent clothing, sturdy boots, long pants, long sleeve shirt, hat, sun protection, water, and food.
