SJMA promotes education, volunteer stewardship, information and hands-on involvement on public lands in SW Colorado. Our staff and volunteers work as the non-profit partner of the San Juan National Forest, BLM San Juan Field Office, and BLM Canyons of the Ancients National Monument.
Annual trail maintenance including clearing of debris and downed trees and cleaning and repairing water bars is performed on the following trails:
Pagosa Chapter: Treasure Falls, Piedra Falls, Sheep Creek, Fourmile, Opal Lake
Dolores Chapter: Calico Trail
Durango Chapter: Animas City Mountain and Colorado Trail
