PCTA Regions
The PCTA divides the Pacific Crest Trail into six trail maintenance Regions. We show herein the trail projects under each Region and give their dates, brief descriptions, and the people who can be contacted for information and sign-up. We also list all known trail projects scheduled for the PCT on our Projects Database Page: Fast Track to Projects List.
Southern California - Mexican Border to Kennedy Meadows (South)
In Region 1, projects are identified as requiring "FALC"= Fast Attack Light Cavalry (our packers), "FOOT"= the rest of us hikers (almost always, FOOT is understood!) To join in a project, contact the listed project's leader, complete a brief application form he will provide, then include a $25 refundable deposit - just one deposit even if you request more than one project. The deposit is a no-show food cost offset which may or may not be requested in other regions.
