Zigzagging its way from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon and Washington the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) boasts the greatest elevation changes of any of America's National Scenic Trails, allowing it to pass through six out of seven of North America's ecozones including high and low desert, old-growth forest and arctic-alpine country. Over the past decade the PCT has become a favorite trail for thru-hikers and thru-riders - that's horse and mule riders - and not for bikes! The PCT took years to build, mainly by volunteers. Today, the annual maintenance and reconstruction of the PCT continues to be a major undertaking... from removing blow-downs and repairing wash-outs to cutting back chaparral, PCTA trail crews do it all. If you would like to locate a crew to work with you are at the right place. Click on "Next Page" and follow along through the PCTA's Regions until you find your project.
