The North Country National Scenic Trail is a premier footpath that one day will stretch more than 4000 miles to link communities and wilderness areas across seven northern states. Already, more than 1700 miles have been completed. When completed, through the efforts of many people, the trail will be the longest continuous hiking trail in the United States. The trail allows hikers to experience a variety of northern landscapes. We're the nationwide nonprofit organization that works in partnership with the National Park Service to build, maintain, and promote the North Country National Scenic Trail.
