The Purpose of the Foothills Trail Conference shall be to promote and coordinate for the benefit and use of the general public the proper use, construction and maintenance of a connected trail, to be called the Foothills Trail, running, as far as practicable, over the summits of the mountains and through the wild lands of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. The Calendar of Outings and Events for 2008 doesn't show any trail maintenance projects.
