The Carson Valley Trails Association (CVTA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The mission of the CVTA is to obtain legal access to existing trails and property owned by the BLM and the United State Forest Service for the local community for hiking, mountain biking and equestrian uses. Acquisition shall be obtained by a variety of methods, including but not limited to purchase, donation and exchange. Trail projects performed by volunteers with the CVTA are a little hard to find on their Web page. However, a key proponent of trail development and maintenance is Phil Brisack who is V.P. of Trails Operation for the Association, brisack@charter.net.
