The Colorado Mountain Club (CMC) is the premier outdoor club in the Rocky Mountain Region. The original CMC mission statement (drafted in 1912) contains: Encourag(e) preservation through environmental education, trail building and restoration, and participation in public lands management decisions. This mission statement has changed. There is no longer any mention of trail building and restoration, and no projects of this kind can be found on the CMC Web page. We will continue to monitor the CMC for awhile, but if there are no signs that the club will return to its original mission, it will be dropped from this listing.
